Beyond The Hype: How To Really Succeed With Network Marketing

I just finished revising my book Beyond The Hype: How To Really Succeed With Network Marketing that I wrote in 2008 and I am giving you a free copy of it.

All you need to do is go to www.brutallyhonestmarketer.com/beyondthehype.html. On that page you will see why I wrote the book and what you will learn in it.

I am also giving away the resale rights to the book. This means you can sell the book for $47 and keep 100% of the profit. You can also use it for give aways with your website.

I hope you enjoy reading it and please feel free to leave a comment about the book.

Personalizing Your Site For A Better Visitor Experience

Today's question comes from Todd F. from New York, NY and his question is, "I am marketing a product that many other people market and my website looks like everyone elses. What can I do to stand out?"

Thanks Todd for your question!

You’ve probably have notice that this past year there is a growing shift that’s taking place online. At first there were only faint “rumblings” of change. Then came the successive “earthquakes” in the form of major changes in pay-per-click advertising, which sent many people not only scrambling, but also back to the drawing board or offline completely.

It’s no longer important to have good information to make a profit online. Or even the best information, for that matter. Since its explosion into the public arena back in 1994, the Internet has continued to grow and progress in many different ways simultaneously. The end result is not only that the internet itself has become more sophisticated, but so has its users.

This fact has not been lost on the key players of the Internet, the search engines. In order for them to stay effective, they too, have had to continually determine and then meet the increasing demands of their users.

One of the best known, Google, has decided to start doing site ranking and placement based upon a new “benchmark”, Visitor Experience.

The new stated goal is to create the best and most positive “Visitor Experience” for your site or blog. Ideally, the better the “V.E.”, the better the search engine placement. Of course, having relevant, usable information on your site or blog contributes to this.

Now that this fact is finally starting to “filter down” through the online marketing world in the aftermath of the pay-per-click advertising shake-up, the question that site owners should be asking themselves is, what steps can I take that will contribute to a positive Visitor Experience for my site or blog?

While there are several methods or tools that could be used to bring about the desired result, many of them are costly or are difficult to implement. Unless you have fairly deep pockets or are a computer expert, this approach creates a dilemma for the many thousands of site owners who either have little technical expertise or are cash-strapped.

So, is there a workable solution for these folks to use to improve “Visitor Experience” for their sites? The answer is a resounding yes! It’s the very same one that has created tremendous profits for direct marketers years prior to, and even after, the creation of the Internet.

The easiest and most powerful way to create a positive “Visitor Experience” for your site or blog can be described with one word, personalization. If you have a website that is just like everyone elses then there is nothing unique about you. Even if you want to keep that replacated website at least make a lead caputre page that will introduce yourself, give the readers your background info and how you can help them, and put an autoresponder form up there so you can capture your reader's information.

Also, try using audio or video on your website. The more interactive your website is the more you will "connect" with your readers. For example, look at http://www.incomepowersystem.com/. This is a website to a product that I promote. I was given the same website as everyone else, but the difference is that I put up a lead caputre page with a video, and also put my own personality into the main site which makes me stand out.

The reason why I created this blog is to connect more with my subscribers. I want to hear from you so I can interact with you. Please us the comment section at the bottom of the blogs I write to comment or ask more questions. I want to create a dialogue. If you want to submit a question just go to http://www.askmikefeil.com/.

Once you’ve implemented this simple strategy, you could be pleasantly surprised at the potential results from this addition to your site or blog. Of course, you would also want to implement this with your newsletter and/or sales letter. When your cash flow allows you to, your next step would be to purchase additional tools or resources to further enhance the Visitor Experience for your web presence.

I hope this helps!

GeneWize

One of the most amazing things that I have recently seen is the company GeneWize and the products that it offers.

GeneWize™ — A Specialized Health Beauty & Wellness Products Company — offers ultra high quality, genetically guided products — individually customized just for you.

In recent years, scientists have discovered that each of us have unique "genetically determined" body chemistries. Even small variations in your genes can have a profound influence on how well your body responds to food, physical activity, environmental pressures and how you may be predisposed to a wide variety of other important health and physiologic conditions.

GeneWize's product, The LifeMap Nutrition™ System is the first customized nutritional and optimal health system where nutritional supplement ingredients and products are genetically matched to an individual's DNA.

So basically what happens is you take a cheek swab DNA test, send it off to the GeneWize Lab, the lab looks at your DNA to determine what nutrients you need, and then makes a vitamin specifically matching your DNA make-up.

Totally amazing...totally revolutionary!

GeneWize is not sold in stores. You can only get GeneWize products from a GeneWize representative. I have some great news! I just happen to be a GeneWize Representative!

What is Web 2.0

Today's question comes from Tom J. from Ohio and he writes, "I have been hearing a lot about Web 2.0. What is that exactly?

Tom, thanks for your question!

The term “Web 2.0” is being touted as “The Next Big Thing” for the Internet, and if the popularity of this new breed of highly interactive sites is any indication, it might just be the case. Which begs the question: “How can I convert my site to keep up with (and cash in on) the current trend known as “Web 2.0?” Before you get all excited about re-tooling your site to reflect this new phase of “user-driven” websites, let’s take a look at just what “Web 2.0” is all about. Once you understand the terminology and the thought process behind it, only then can you properly apply it to your online endeavors.

The term itself is indicative of a new version of software. Only in this case it’s used in reference to the way the Internet itself is developing. “Web 1.0” is what the ‘Net has been up until the recent explosion of media and multi-media applications for websites. It was essentially a text-based approach, much like a direct mail marketing piece, with little if any interaction with the user. Everything was static—and wasn’t very user-friendly at times.

With the advent of technologies and concepts like audio and video for the web, along with blogs and podcasting, the focus began to shift from the website itself to the content it was delivering. As Paul Colligan has so aptly stated, it is “time-shifting.” Content is no longer chained to a specific site or place, nor is it static. It can be accessed in a variety of forms and in a variety of ways, irrespective of place or time of day.

But technology is only one aspect of this “new way to Internet.” Another fundamental feature of Web 2.0 is interactivity. The website must be designed to let the user do what they want to do when and how they want to do it. Of course, this is all tied to content. The user must be able to access content that is readily available to them in a variety of formats. And you should also provide ways to encourage user interaction, user feedback and comments. This is vital because the new goal is to create experiences, not sites. With the continuing advance of Web 2.0 technology and thought, providing a service is now deemed to be much more valuable than merely providing a place.
